Indiana's Homeless

In Indiana, 18,000 people are homeless on any given night.
One of the fastest growing segments of homeless populations is families with children.
Approximately 20-25% of the adult homeless population suffers from mental illness.
Only 30% of poor people eligible for housing assistance actually receive it.

Homelessness can affect ALL people:

40% are single men
14% are single women
4% are unaccompanied children
40% are families
67% are single parent families

In every state more than minimum wage is required to afford a one or two bedroom apartment.
